Our Mission Statement

"To be a client's trusted adviser."

Our Core Values

In order to achieve our mission, we will:

-Take time to get to know our clients - so that we can tailor a service that will at least meet their expectations, preferably exceed them.

- Work hard to help our clients - it is the best investment we can make, for the benefit of both ourselves and our clients.

- Approach our work with a friendly smile and a degree of humour - we wish for clients to enjoy making contact with us, not be daunted by the prospect.

- Focus on the success of our clients - so that, in turn, the success of our own business should follow in their wake.

- Generally seek to mitigate, not totally eliminate, our client's taxation liabilities - we will help our clients plan to mitigate against arising tax liabilities, but we will never assist a client to evade tax in contravention of the law, nor will we ever encourage our clients to engage in what is generally defined as 'aggressive tax planning' (i.e. abusing tax law and exploiting tax loopholes) given that, in our experience, this normally comes back round to bite the taxpayer in the longer-term.

- Take pride in our work and in doing so prioritise quality over quantity - we will think before we advise with the aim of providing a service that clients will conclude was worth waiting for - if this means checking or researching our advice prior to providing it then that is what we will do.

- Aim to be reasonable in the fee notes that we raise to our clients - in the hope and expectation that our clients will adopt the same attitude in agreeing the same and, moreover, continue to instruct us to act on their behalf.  This means that we will never seek to exploit our clients but, by the same token, nor will we engage in any 'race to the bottom', as neither approach will work over the long-term.

- Proudly associate ourselves as a firm to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales (the ICAEW), in doing so, we wholly subscribe to and will always aim to uphold the ICAEW code of ethics:

- Integrity - be straightforward and honest in all professional and business relationships

- Objectivity - not compromise judgements because of bias, conflict of interest or undue influence of others

- Professional Competence & Due Care - attain and maintain professional knowledge and skill at the level required, act diligently and in accordance with professional standards

- Confidentiality - to respect the confidentiality of information acquired

- Professional Behaviour - to comply with relevant laws and regulations and avoid conduct that might discredit the profession.

- Respect each other as colleagues - all levels, all directions - everyone has a role to play in our business.

- Help and share our knowledge with colleagues - asking for help or consulting with others is seen as a strength, not a weakness.
